Abstract

Quintela was a multiple man, whose life could be summarized in four passions: Medicine, Politics, games, and animals. He acquired his specialty of ENT (ear, nose, and throat) (otolaryngology) in Paris, worked for more than ten years honorarily for the Faculty, until in 1900 he was named the first Professor of ENT.
