Abstract

This year, 2021, the emblematic Heritage Days were dedicated to remembering José Enrique Rodó. The SUHM is associated with this sesquicentennial of the birth of the writer, journalist, teacher, parliamentarian and inspirer of youth at the beginning of the 20th century, addressing some aspects of his health, his ailments and the circumstances surrounding his death in Palermo (Italy). on May 1, 1917.

    Es médico desde diciembre de 1975. Fue Secretario Ejecutivo de la Confederación Médica Panamericana (1964-1971). Secretario del Coordinador Técnico del Ministerio de Salud Pública (1966-1967).

  • Juan Ignacio Gil y Pérez

    Historiador de la medicina en Facultad de Medicina.
